Graduate School Admission Results

I had an interview with my POI today. Questions centered on my research interests, past research experience, career goals, and plans for doctoral studies. She also said that Stanford GSE is getting over 800 applications this cycle and they are going to accept only 30 students, so a 3.75% acceptance rate. Applicants will get the result in Feb as usual. After carefully reviewing your application to the graduate program, I regret that we are unable to offer you admission for the autumn quarter of 2022. Our applicant pool was extremely competitive this year and forced us to make some very difficult decisions given the limited number of spaces we have available in the Fall class. My colleagues and I deeply appreciate your interest in Stanford Chemistry and wish you continued success with your future research and studies.

Ignore the interview. Does any received interview from EALC Stanford? It seems that some interview invitations had already been sent out at this time in the previous years.

Has anyone received interviews from EE Department? Seems like they are sending interviews late compared to previous years?

I received the IR email yesterday and the final decision came today. Now I started to worry about my application season :(
