Graduate School Admission Results

B.E in CS from Tier-2 college (India), 1 research internship, 1 industry internship, 2 pub and 3.5 years of relevant work experience. First reject of the season.

We regret to inform you that you were not selected for admission into the traditional MS/Ph.D. graduate program at the UW-Madison Department of Computer Sciences. This year, we had almost 2300 applicants and we were not able to find space for every qualified applicant. All decisions are final; we do not have a waiting list, nor do we reconsider applicants who wish to change their degree goals.

From an old IIT. 2 years of work experience as a Data Scientist. Looks like they sent all the rejections together. Feels like a bloodbath. Don't really know what to think or say.

Graduated from an old IIT, 1 year work exp at FAANG. Didn't expect a rejection here. Frankly, feel a bit rattled

CS undergrad, top-tier IIT, 9.66 CPI, 2 yrs work experience, 2-3 research projects, some extra-curriculars, no research papers

Tier 2 uni, 4 papers, v strong lors, no work exp except internships. AGAR BHAGWAN HAI TOH USC DILWAYEGA ATLEAST

Surprised! Already have been admitted to much more competitive programs. Maybe I underestimated this program.

7 months research experience. No publications. GPA: 4.5/5.0, Scandinavian university. 3 semesters as TA. Current computer engineering undergrad. Currently 9 months of SWE experience in the form of internships/full time(I skip college lectures). Second place out of 40 in European tech competition. Lots of teaching and fundraising volunteering.
