Graduate School Admission Results

Had to mail Tom Hurst. Not recommended for MS in CS. Will be considered for MPS in Machine learning or data science and analytics. Does anybody have any idea about how good are these courses and whether I should consider them? thanks.

The status changed from 'Under Department Review' -> 'Under Grad School Review' -> Decision Available. All the best to all those who got in.

Had to email Tom Hurst, got a dismissive one liner: "You were not recommended for admission". Not so much disappointed over the rejection as I am frustrated that I paid an application fee and that was the best I got - no correspondence from UMD's end and I had to reach out to get an update.

Applied for PhD knowing I would at least be considered for MS. Wouldn't even have applied had I known the small batch size for MS in CS. Did not get any mail from either program, so mailed Tom Hurst who sent a rather blunt rejection mail.

Does Maryland have sent who is on the waitlist? I did not get any notification and my status is still under departmental review.

Hi, is there anybody like me who hasn't heard back from them yet? My application was submitted very early (in Nov) but I had some problem with them receiving my scores from ETS, for which I emailed them in Feb and they immediately fixed it. So it's showing a date in Feb for when the application was 'completed'. Have they forgotten about me?
