Recent Graduate Admission Results April 2020
Social Psychology, University Of Alberta I have been in touch with my POI throughout the application. Last week we talked over the phone where they confirmed my admittance and discussed options going forward. I received a letter today from the department offering admission. An official letter from FGSR is expected soon. We were going to have this phone call 3 weeks ago, but meetings regarding covid-19 pushed this back.

Education Policy, University Of Alberta (U Of A) Hi Guys, I'm on the same boat. Different faculty and program but I think they are all running a bit late. It's incredibly frustrating I know and I am checking the portal non-stop. I do hope they send the results soon.

Computer Science, University Of Alberta To the one who asked about MILA: It is obvious that MILA is a great research community that has many world-renowned members in the field of RL such as prof. Doina Precup. However, it can not be considered as a Reinforcement Learning research group because, due to the information given on their website, their main focus is on applications of deep learning. Hence, I believe that it is not right to compare these two research groups with each other in the base of which one is the best RL group.

Computer Science, University Of Alberta It depends on the research field which you desire to pursue. Personally, It is the best option for me because, to the best of my knowledge, there is not any better Reinforcement Learning research lab in any other universities across Canada (and a couple of other countries and regions such as Singapore). Just take a look at the RLAI lab, and you'll understand.
