No email notification. I checked the portal randomly. 1-year as a research assistant during undergrad, and I'm currently a research assistant at a non-profit public policy organization. I only applied to this program because of its proximity to DC and its focus on policy. Very excited!

UC's are overrated.

Please ignore the waitlist. I'm aware that this program at Vandy has a big waitlist, but I wonder if anyone hears more from the DGS, since he did not reply me emails. Has anyone heard anything or accepted off the waitlist? Big cons to those who are admitted btw!

Please ignore the waitlist. Does anyone know if the sociology PhD program has sent out all admission/offers? I saw one post earlier saying that DGS has sent an email of admission, but I'm not sure if the admission decisions have all been sent out by now.

To the applicant who was asking in another post: I did not apply to UNC, but I heard from my friend in this program (who is a graduate student there) that they've already held open house day. I'm sorry and good luck to you with your other applications!
