Sociology Graduate School Admission Results

Hi, is there anybody on this forum who has applied to Cornell and is still waiting for their decision or have received their decision?

To the post below, I haven't heard anything from USC at all either.

To USC or UCI (or anyone else) applicants, if you've not heard yet, it's possible that you're on the waitlist. Call the office directly to find out. Many programs have decision deadlines coming in the next two weeks, so it's likely that if you have not yet been rejected that you are on a waitlist and that they are just waiting for people to decide where to go! Don't lose hope yet!

Anybody heard anything about interviews yet?

Offered half-time assistantship and out-of-state tuition remission. Currently an undergrad at Penn State, majoring in Criminology.

The offer made my day! Personalized, inofficial email from interviewers (had two Skype interviews with Emory) with 12months*5years funding package Committee chair told me that all of their PhD students are fully funded. Waiting for the details to come

They were "delighted" to tell me that I have been put on the wait list, ha! My 4th wait list! This is really a test in patience.

Emailed by professor I reached out to prior to applying, official email forthcoming.

Received a personal email. I'm all over the moon!!!!!!!

To the poster below, my status is also still "applied" and I didn't get any emails either. Maybe we're in the hold pool???
