Waitlisted mid-Feb, received a phone call from the AdCom Chair this morning notifying me of offer. There is one other school I am holding out for where I'm currently waitlisted at, which I will accept if offered a spot. I will otherwise be accepting Brandeis's offer, and will update the results page as soon as possible if that ends up being the case!

Sent email to them. They said ' We made our first round of admissions offers. If you are not selected for admissions, you will receive a notice when the process is complete, likely in May.' Anyone who got offers?

ignore the waitlist option. has anyone who applied to case western heard back yet? it's (pretty much) my only decision left, and i emailed about when decisions may come out but never heard anything back. it's less than a month before the commitment date.

Such shitty system. They didn't even notify. Randomly got an update on the portal. So unprofessional. Disappointing system. Applicants deserve to be treated like proper human beings.

Ignore waitlist! Has anyone heard from Columbia's GSAS MA Sociology? Saw they sent Phd decisions a few weeks back. Last school I'm waiting on before making a decision.

Emailed them asking about decisions and was told being on the group of "top tier of applicants that we would go to if we make additional offers." GPA is grad. Submitted GRE.

GPA is grad. Sent email inquiry about admissions decisions, heard back and was told being waitlisted. They said they'll go to the waitlist, if by any chance, after April 15.

I sent an email to ask about the status of my application and I was informed that I was on the waitlist. They hope to finalize the offers in the next 2 weeks. I hope this is helpful for those who are still waiting like me.

CUNY is my first and only choice this application season. If you are one of the people who has been offered admittance in the sociology department (congrats!) and if you have a better offer from another school/are not intending on accepting your offer here please let the department know as soon as you can. Thank you!!

I don't understand why they notified me so late.

Got an interview. Got rejected a few weeks later.

Nothing on the portal, i received a generic rejection email. This was the 6th rejection out of 7 applications, if this didn't happen the last one standing won't either since it was a good fit, especially with the prospective advisor I chose. This sucks. But I really don't understand this process.
