accepted off the waitlist !

Recieved a fax from Harvard, they told me my application was incorrectly flagged as a rejection. This is the happiest that I've ever been this week. When I saw the Harvard Letterhead, I began to weep—the stogie that I had previously lit and left unattended had filled the room with a rolling smoke, causing the aforementioned tears. I could barely see through the smoke to make out the typeface that Harvard uses. EB Garamond—typical. Most people don't take the time to notice these kinds of things, but when you get as many acceptances as I do, you begin to appreciate the small stuff. I don't plan on accepting anytime soon—I have a meaty handful of acceptances, and I've got my pudgie little fingers in a handful of waitlists. I plan on using them all as leverage so I can get Harvard to reimburse me for the cost of moving my man-servant to Cambridge. Has anyone heard from Rice? Signed, Lian Brieter 10a, 7w,0r,1p.

Waitlisted in February, and still haven't given up my faint hope in case a place might miraculously open up before April 15. Congratulations to the admits! I'd appreciate it if you let them know your decision in the upcoming days.

Received email to look at portal. No GRE.

7 publications. Did undergrad here. First in department. Beat department heads in London universities (ICL, KCL, UCL) and US universities (Notre Dame, Duke, Stanford, Princeton) in interdepartmental academic competitions.

International applicant. No funding. Top choice.

Was notified via email that there was an update to my portal. Full funding! Stoked.

Email to check portal. Kennedy scholarship for $20,000 per year.

No funding, so I will be turning this down.

Also received full tuition aid through John F Kennedy Fellowship

Completed the interview and received offer in two weeks.
