Ignore waitlist. Guys with admits: did you receive the "decision available after 5 pm" email before getting your decision (as last year's applicants)? Thanks! I'm getting pretty anxious here.

Spire changed to "Update Pending" yesterday. Got Reject today. Applied to MS/PhD

Waitlisted for the Master's in Data Science program. If you are accepted to the program but will not attend, please decline your offer. It's been a tough year.

Is the online program of UT Austin (MSCo) really that competitive ? Will it be valued compared to on campus masters in some low ranked colleges in the US ?

CGPA: 9.4/10 , from tier 2 Indian college , close to 4yrs of work exp, no research exp

Strong coursework, internships, etc.

Are all the results out or is there some admits left?

TTPB. If you've received an admit but have decided not to attend, please decline ASAP. The application cycle has been grueling and people on the waitlist would appreciate it very much.

TTPB: Ph.D. decisions are already out. They had their candidate's day in March. At this point, it's mostly rejection. I have also applied to their Ph.D. program and haven't heard. I was holding out some hope for an MS admit, but it looks tough at this point.

Hey here: GPA : 8.4/10. Tier 2 private university (Among the likes of VIT, Manipal, KIIT, SRM) GRE : 325( 167Q) Almost 4 YOE at a top MNC (FAANG level) Glad to see someone had applied for ms cs at nw. Till now I havent found another soul! :D I thought I was the only one applying here.

TTPB: As I mentioned in the previous message, The admission process is apparently the same as last year. THey will consider MS/PhD applications for on-campus MS if qualified. Eileen directly replied today and mentioned that to me. The partial information given by them on the website caused a serious misunderstanding. Stay positive buddy, we still have a fair chance. Please ignore waitlist. Any idea if PhD CS decisions are out? I submitted my app on December 15, which I think was the early deadline. Are the decisions taking longer this year, on an average as compared to last?

I had mailed Eileen to ask about the changes to MS/PhD program. It seems like they still consider some qualified students to the MS program. The online and hybrid programs are just additional options. I sent a very polite mail but I hope it doesn't affect my admission decision lol. We may have overreacted out of the stress we have due to the admissions or were just alarmed due to the lack of info provided by them. Anyway, ATB to all :)
