Letter informing me of waitlist status. Not a bad position to be in, but after my interview, the profs made it seem like I was waiting on an acceptance, so it stings a little. Fingers crossed that things will work out. 0a/2w/2r/8p

IGNORE STATUS - has anyone tried the italian chicken sandwich they brought back at burger king, and if so, is it as good as I remember it being in my youth? I remember eating this sandwich when I was like 8-9, thereabouts? It was so good. I remember going back some time later and finding out that it had been discontinued, but they agreed to make me one anyway (I guess they had marinara sauce lying around? Still not sure about the logistics of that). I unironically hold these memories of the Burger King Italian Chicken Sandwich near and dear to my heart

Rolling admissions, applied on Jan 15 for the online program

Ignore waitlist. Has anyone received offers from this program, I do see some rejections on Cafe. This program usually sends offers earlier than rejections from previous information, but I did not see any offer posts so far. Did they send out any offer, or I am really on the waitlist, or rejections are sent out on different rounds :(

invited to the open house this Friday. i applied to this program once in 2021, was also invited to the open house, but got rejected that time. hope this time have some luck.

kind of a weird email from the professor I had hoped to work with. "The historical musicology faculty at Columbia enjoyed reading your application materials and would like to ask just a few follow-up questions—would you by chance have time to speak by phone/zoom at some point within the week? (I hesitate to call this a formal interview–more of an informal conversation about the program; I believe you may have already or will soon also hear from my colleague George Lewis.)"

Every year we have many more excellent candidates than we are able to accommodate, requiring us to make difficult decisions. Sometimes even outstanding applicants cannot be admitted. (I've applied 9 programs in total and got 3 rejection letters so far :( hope will receive good news soon
