Accepted to the MSc Computer Science programme, Undergrad from India, non-IIT/NIT, 3 A* publications, LOR from a famous prof in the field, 1.5 years of experience, 1 year of Research Assistant at a foreign lab, 0.5 years at a leading car company

MS CS. No GRE. Accepted via portal.

Got email to check website. Was on my medium level unis. 3 rejections till now, this is gut wrenching.

Got an email to check the decision. It was on my ambitious list, but still a bit disappointed.

Application was moved from research based masters to course based masters

Got an email couple of days back that I'm rejected from the research-based MS but being considered for the course-based/professional MSCP. Got the update on the portal today.

Got admitted into research based masters. Pretty excited

MSc from top uni in Europe with a good GPA, first-author publication at a top-tier venue, research internship experience, and SWE internship at a renowned tech company. I reached out to the PI during the fall and had an interview back then. After a while, I was asked to have my recommenders send a letter of recommendation. Area: ML/Security.

Hadn't heard from them in 3 months and 10 days. 'bout time.

B.Tech from old IIT. Major degree non-CS but Double Majoring in EE. Minor in CS. GPA 8.93/10.0. No GRE. 2 research papers in Machine Learning. Multiple internships in ML/SDE.

Top of class, 1 publication, 1 full year internship at FAANG. To be honest I wasn't prepared for the rejection, got my hopes up too much :( Best of luck to everyone else! I will take a long break and travel in the coming year :)
