Computer Science Graduate School Admission Results

Computational Biology Department - I really expected to get in. I've been in contact with a faculty there and he seems interested. I already have an admission from UCLA but really preferred this one. Sad.

To the post below, I applied with Computer Vision as 1st preference, and haven't heard anything back either.

Some research experience but no papers. Ok letters of rec. Theory focus. Congrats to those admitted

Email came out ~2AM CST. Area: Systems. 1 interview beforehand

Thinking of accepting it, my first acceptance after I got a rejection from the University of Vermont. Field: HCI/AI/ML, 1 first-authored paper in IEEE and one to be presented. Strong LOR. Offered GTA with 22.5k yearly stipend. Have to research further.

I am writing in response to your application to the M.S. Program in Computer Science at Dartmouth College. I regret to inform you that, after careful consideration and long discussions, the Admissions Committee has decided not to offer you admission to the program. We had a very large applicant pool, but only a small number of spaces. As a result, many highly qualified students had to be denied admission. Therefore, please do not take this rejection as an indication that you are not qualified to enter an M.S. program; the simple fact is that the admissions committee receives far too many applications each year to admit all qualified applicants.

2nd update, 1st AD! Really happy right now. Official mail will be in 1 or 2 weeks. I had finalized my application on December 25th.

Have received admit from two colleges. Waiting for Columbia. Should I consider it as a reject at this Point

MSAII Reject. 3 ML Internships, 2 ML Research Internships (IISc, CSIR-URDIP), 3 Publications, Strong LoRs (IISc, Google, College Prof), Working on my own startup. Probably done in by the low GRE and Tier-3 Indian college. Tough Luck :(

People with much lower profiles got in. Some even with verbal scores as low as 144. Anyways looks like they don't want better profiles to join them. And poor guys were short of ideas that they used the previous year's rejection letter mentioning "2013-14". No time to type a new one? Have many good offers to choose from. So long GaTech.

To the Dartmouth poster below- Yes there is a Fb group created by the current grad students at Dartmouth around 2 weeks back.. Check your mail, you must have got an invitation.
