Computer Science Graduate School Admission Results

Just finished interview -- PoI informed that decisions will be finalized by tomorrow and should expect notifications by end of this week or early next week.

And this was supposed to be my safe school!

Email from the department. POI is my current supervisor so this is expected. Happy to have at least 1 offer now :)

Two years of research experience, one year in a top Japanese university. Expected result. So long Wisconsin.

I got an interview with the professor not mentioned in SOP.

Applied through both McGill and MILA. Notified by PoI with whom I had spoken prior to application. NLP track. Hold a master's from UK, graduated with distinction. First author on two submitted top conference papers. Extremely excited.

Well! To all those who are waiting, be patient!

Informal acceptance from Professor not mentioned in SoP. Official letter will come in a day or two. Had 30 minutes interview related to my research interests in the morning. Masters GPA: 3.67, 8 Publications (1 Journal, 4 Conference, 3 Posters), 1 Patent, 1 very strong and 2 strong letters of recommendation. Lots of teaching experience, talks, and presentations. One year of research experience in the industry and one year of experience as a developer. Congratulations to all who were accepted.

International applicant but with a Canadian degree. Invited for a campus visit. (Please ignore my last entry since the date was wrong...)
