Received pleasant email from the Associate Director of the program. So excited. Came few hours after the bland rejection from Princeton.

Got an email to check the applicant portal, clicked on the status, and saw the rejection letter. It was definitely a reach, but I'm glad I heard back! 0a/0w/1r/6p

I mean, it was a long shot. Somehow i'm excited that at least I can hear back from a school even if it's a rejection 💀. I'm just livid at this point. Second rejection of the season.

after weeks of radio silence I wrote to ask the DGS about the result and got a rejection a few minutes later. The same thing seemed to have happened last year. for future applicants: don't get your hopes up just because you escaped the mass rejection. Their portal doesn't seem to work very well. Stay strong everyone.
