English Graduate School Admission Results

GPA is MA. Poured my heart into this, really bummed. This was my ticket home to the PNW. Just did my MA in Europe. Led my own research team, worked in the department as a research assistant for two years. Tons of conferences, etc. Letter of rec from a renowned scholar in my field.

A wondrous and pleasing acceptance to a robust program. I'm going to have a lot of difficult choices to make!

They emailed me at least three times in January requesting my MA diploma (not completed yet) and a degree certificate for the school where I only went for exchange. Very good.

3a/1w/0r/6p. Received personalized email from program director about my waitlist status for the PhD program (direct to PhD from BA); high prospects for moving up and receiving a full offer

Two rejections in a row today. Today has been hard. Didn't even get an email- just saw the results here and checked portal.

Checked portal, basic rejection that said with over 250 applicants they had to only choose students with research interests that aligned closely with faculty. Last rejection of the season, but I did get into MA program so I'll be accepting that and applying for PhD again for 2026 cycle. Congrats to all those who were admitted!

received an email acceptance that stated only 10% of applicants were accepted this year. i chose the literature and culture track. no gre and gpa is undergrad (had 1 gap year). very grateful! stats: 0p, 1r, 1w, 5a.
