First acceptance! Email notification from the program coordinator. No changes in the portal, it still says "submitted". Had a brief zoom chat with a PI before my application, but no official interview.

Cosmo-th. 1 paper under review. Projects on Blackhole, string theory, particle physics, quantum gravity, dark matter/energy, galaxy and gravitational wave.

Overall score: Out of area The candidate meets some of the criteria for scientific promise (see “Excellent” for criteria), but the candidate's research interests are not a good fit for the IST Austria PhD program.

Does anyone heard back from Northeastern University? The priority deadline was Dec 1 and they are still accepting offers. Is Northeastern competitive for hep-th?

Ignore waitlisted; Does anyone know why Maryland is delaying the offers. Similar trends happened last year as well where they sent out all the rejections by April. Any idea whether they will give more offers?

Interviewed by a prospective professor. Got a email next day telling to check the portal. Admission with TA. Two years of research experience, no publications yet. First acceptance, waiting for the others.

Ignore waitlist. Is there any chance that UC Sam Diego will send more offers for hep-th. Some one in the forum said that they were doing it in a rolling basis, but got to know that they have invited the selected students for open house.
