ignore waitlist, has anyone received an official rejection from NYU, saw one waitlist on GC. If no one has received a rejection mail yet, then it surely is a rejection since they're notifying waitlisted too

hep-th, 6 publications in JHEP and a pGRE score of 990. All rejects this year FML.

1.5 years of research experience, with a first-author paper on the way. My experience isn't in observational cosmology, but that's what I expressed my interest in. They told me I was in the top 25% so that made me feel a bit better :(

Direction: hep-th. I've done two phenomenology research in undergraduate stage, with two papers on arXiv. Received the acceptance through email by Angela. I'm posting just want to clarify that UC Davis does accept theory students this year, just very limited.

Informed by PI: "Your academic history is very impressive, and you are on our waiting list for a funded Ph.D. offer". If someone got somewhere better and intends not to take their offer please decline it soon !
