Please decline your offer if you have a better option

I am currently finishing up on my second semester in the graduate program at UoR. I was originally waitlisted and then accepted a few weeks later. Unfortunately, many of the professors have been extremely rude and unhelpful despite their "no question is a dumb question" motto. I would say that 25-40% of our cohort has considered dropping out/transferring because of the lack of assistance from these professors. I would highly encourage you all to reach out to someone that is currently in the programs you are considering before making your final decision.

(Undergrad degrees in Pure Math and Econ; MA in Economics from NYU; Grad GPA: 3.1/4.0; 3 Years in industry) (1A/1W/10R) Anyone have any ideas when they're going to make their waitlist decisions? Another school's decision due date is coming up.

Please please decline if you are accepted but don't plan on enrolling. This cycle has been very tough and UCSD is my last hope for a PhD. Please help move the waitlist if you know you're not going to come.

Hopefully, Round 3 is the charm. Glad to finally know what's going on so I can formulate future game plans
