Political Science, Northwestern University TTPB: I am unsure specifically how Northwestern's Political Science program handles things, but in my experience it is not uncommon for PI's to reach out to applicants personally for a chat/interview (even if the program doesn't *officially* interview applicants). For example, in December I was interviewed by a faculty member (at a different university) despite that program explicitly stating that there are no interviews throughout the application process.

Political Science, Northwestern University For those who believed the claim of interview with Ian Hurd, here is the message I received : "we have not yet sent out ANY decisions, and we do not invite students for interviews before or after admission. We're in the process of reviewing files; we expect that all decisions will be out before the end of February." I honestly feel pity for people who come here and just post spam. Thanks.
