Struck out this cycle. Back to my Alma matter for a MA.

Dear fellows, has anyone heard any news from these programs. It is really abnormal for me to have no info yet from several programs by this time.

UCI is a horrible program. Ask about their retention rate and placement record and see how they answer. In one year their retention rate for incoming class was 66% meaning they lost 1/3 of their students for that cohort. UCI has profs with no integrity.

Was not interviewed, 15 total on waitlist. Subfield: theory

A top choice for me, so I'm still hopeful :) Anyone who is admitted and knows they want to decline, pretty please do so soon. GPA is grad.

Wait listed through email. Have offers from BC and Baylor so it's not a completely lost cause but it would be great if some people rejected their offers...

Canadian applicant from small undergraduate university. I was excited to get the offer today (my second acceptance!) in my email telling me to check on the website. I received a funding offer for just above $34k over two years, both from scholarships and TA position. I'm strongly considering this offer as I've heard great things about political science at Carleton, but am waiting to hear back from three other universities. Good luck to everyone else!

Not surprised, as I didn't feel qualified. I was emailed to check the portal, which I then had to create just to see that I was denied.

I plead with everyone accepted to multiple universities: Please let schools you will not be attending know! Those of us on the wait list are slowly dying; indeed, I don't have much time left. The doctors have given me less than a month. No, but on a serious note, please let schools know. I am trying to get off of TWO wait-lists to my top two choices. I love you all. God bless.
