English Graduate School Admission Results

Emailed about timeline because I saw someone was waitlisted. I was informed that I was most likely not accepted because they gave already chosen their acceptances/waitlist.

So happy about this!

Got rejected, undergrad applicant, got some Phd offers though so it's all good, just wish they ain't take so long to say no.

Seeing a lot of questions about Penn State. They release decisions on a rolling basis, so you could hear as late as the end of April.

Has anyone heard from Pennsylvania State University? I think I only saw one acceptance a few weeks ago.

Email to check portal; no funding info. Does anyone now the funding situation in general for the program? 1a/1p/1w/1r

I was wary of this University after hearing they canceled their English PhD program due to funding issues. Seems a bit of a mess.

TTPB: I emailed two weeks ago and was told we were supposed to find out before last Friday... So I am also curious as the wait is feeling like forever

TTPB: I emailed UCSB mid February because I realized my writing sample had not uploaded. The grad coordinator said they were going to send out offer letters the first week of March but it's now the 9th... I haven't heard of anyone else receiving an acceptance so hopefully news will come soon!

Due to the lengthy silence, I had assumed this automated status update email was a rejection--to my surprise, it notified me that I am on "a selective waitlist" Interdisciplinary scholar, 2 MAs. 0a/2w/5r/2p The waiting continues!

Received a kind email which explained that the department does not "have the capacity to supervise [my] project adequately." I feared that may have been the case :/ Good luck to others!
