Philosophy Graduate School Admission Results

I got an email stating that "After careful consideration of your application, the graduate admissions committee has placed you high on the wait list for a place in our MA program." I will be declining, so hopefully one of y'all gets bumped up.

Received a nice email from Dr. Piccini. Admittedly, I didn't expect this acceptance. Unfortunately, Dr. Piccini also notified me that I am on the waitlist for a Graduate Assistantship. Hopefully things work out. I would love to go to this school :)

2a/0w/7r/4p Expecting rejections from 3/4 of the pending based on what I've seen here. So excited about this program though, going to officially accept within the next week.

Grad GPA: 4.0. Was notified via email to check portal. I was a good fit, but this isn't unexpected. Also, I was told that they would have a reduced admitted class this semester. Congrats to everyone that got accepted, UCSD is a really strong program and will likely move up in PGR rankings.

5a/0w/1r/4p Was definitely expecting this. I ended up re-doing parts of my application quite significantly after submitting the app for UCSD (applied primarily to MA programs so the deadline was later by a few weeks). Not too butt hurt about it. I'll likely be attending an MA program this fall and will reapply to PhD programs after that

Email from Prof. Sowaal and official notification later. It seems no funding for international students to apply before admission, and positions for assistants are adviced to be applied in the second semester. Probably accept, for it is the only positive news for me and this program seems good enough, especially for someone who wants to be trained as a teacher, like me.

E-mail says: "After a careful consideration of your application, the graduate admissions committee has placed you on a waiting list for a place in our MA program. We were impressed with your dossier; however, our program has only a small number of places to offer. It is too early to tell with any confidence. I will, of course, inform you immediately of any change in your status. Please let me know if at any time you are no longer interested in being considered for a place in our program." I'd be happy to accept an offer from them as this is my only (somewhat) positive response I've gotten this cycle. To those who are planning on declining: it would be greatly appreciated if you could decline as soon as possible! (Also, let's not clutter the results page with rants... we have a venting thread for that :/ )
