No pain no gain!

"At the moment, the committee has been authorized to admit three funded students next fall, and it has made initial offers to three applicants." I am wondering how many of those first round acceptances will actually accept their offer!?!?! If someone wants to start a Purdue forum page, I am anxious to know what my chances are of getting accepted.

The department is only admitting 3 funded students this Fall. This is my top choice. Dearest colleagues: if you plan on turning down an offer from Purdue, please do so in haste!

Similar to below--got an email at 2am last night telling me to check, had already said Update Pending all day and continued to all day today until a few minutes ago 0.5a/0w/3.5r

To the person below: I got the same message for the "update pending" status change. It's driving me totally insane, I'm checking every 15 minutes to see if it changes. Why not just tell us if we're rejected???

Anyone else's status changed to Update Pending? I received an email telling me to check in the next couple days for an update. Something makes me pretty sure this is a rejection, but I just wanted to check to see if anyone else had gotten this.
