Ignore interview. Did anyone else receive an email about attending an open house? Not sure if this is generic or something more revealing. I didn't receive the interview notification that others did in January.

Ignore interview - has anyone heard back from UH Manoa English? I applied to the creative writing track

I initially applied for the Spring 2022 semester but was admitted to the Fall 2022 semester. I was in Limbo since Oct.1st. 2021 and my actual offer letter states Oct. 4TH, but my admittance came personally from the department on the 1st of Feb. and became available to see online on Feb.4th.

Full funding, health insurance, and TA position offered. Extensive email from Director of Graduate Studies detailing funding and TA position. 1a/1w/0r/5p

Pretty happy for even this. Does anyone know how many English PhD candidates they usually take? 0a/2r/1w/4p

Russell Group MA w/ distinction (highest honours in UK), US undergrad double major with 3.74, fluent in second language as preferred by dept, had located a potential advisor working in my relevant subfield (a subfield exactly adherent to the kinds of projects they were asking for this season). Rejected without being offered an interview.

Bummer, but I think they were looking for something very specific this year. Received a kind email referring me to MAPH which I will be declining if I get it.

Email from DGS notifying me that I am at the top of the waitlist. If anyone gets an offer from Maryland and doesn't want to go, please, please decline!
