I was looking for 19th century British literature with a focus on Austen and cognitive literary studies. My GPA is from my masters. Although I am not too surprised, I am sad as I thought I was a good fit. Oh well, onto the next! Good luck everyone!

MA GPA 4.0. Was technically accepted on Friday but somehow missed the call and didn't see the voicemail notification. DGS called again yesterday morning and received email at about the same time. Wonderful offer with assistantship and additional recruitment funding. Seriously overwhelmed at the idea of making a decision. Was convinced this wouldn't be my cycle, and this is my third funded acceptance!

Attended the (amazing!) recruitment events 2/10-11, interviewed on the 11th w 18th-19c British faculty. Very excited! 2a/1r/1p

Had an interview with faculty in my area (C20 British and Irish) on 8th Feb, followed by two days of online recruitment events. Received an email from the DGS today. I am beyond thrilled as this is my top choice! 1a/1r/8p
