Emailed program to find out if interview invitations were sent out. Was told that they were all sent out in December.

Invitation from Director of Admissions for interview weekend in late January.

I got an interview with the POI, which I mentioned in the SOP. I don't know if there is a chance to be accepted, but I did my best to present my background.

No invitation = silent rejection

Multiple national awards & Fulbright scholarship for the PhD, No GRE, 70+ months of research experience, internships at top universities, including Harvard, strong 4 LORs (two PI from Stanford), 2 publications as second and third author, multiple poster presentations, still completing master's.

Received email from POI for interview whenever I'm available in the next few weeks

No invite = silent rejection. 4.5 years of research experience in academia, strong LoRs from people affiliated with the program (professors, alumni). Second author publication, 2 grant submissions, and 5 poster presentations (mix of local and national). Honestly after a certain point I think an applicant can be as qualified as they can possibly be as a researcher short of actually having a PhD and they still won't accept you. Not sure what they're looking for... total crap shoot.

No invite to interview after December 20th. I'm considering the zero response a rejection.

Rejection email from POI. H-index 10, 3 strong letters (1 from Harvard med professor).

Program admin says no more interview notifications will go out. If you didn't get an email last week, you just got rejected. Best of luck, people!

Emailed the graduate admissions director who said that all invitations for the BBS program were already sent yesterday. He told me that there was a record number of applicants this year (1300) which made the application selection process all the more competitive. Bummed out but it is what it is :/

Went to top 5 University, 3 years undergraduate research, great LORs, good personal statement. They said I was at the top of the interview list! Super excited!
