English Graduate School Admission Results

Just got an email from Indiana talking about funding. It was honestly laughable what they said. The stipend is $19,000 and they try to justify it by going " Oh, that is the equivalent to blah blah blah in San Francisco". $19,000 ain't a lot where ever you go. That is a very hard number to live off if you are by yourself. I will not go here if this is indicative of the value Indiana places on their grad students.

Disappointed but kind of expected it after I didn't get an interview. bummed since one of my recommenders went there, but congrats to everyone who got in!

Received a nice call offering me a spot on the waitlist, providing the details of the program, and giving me a loose timeline as to when I may anticipate hearing about my position on the waitlist. Kind of bummed because I did research with them; however, they were so kind on the phone it is hard to stay upset. Now sitting at 3 a/4w/5r/4p. Excited to hear the rest.

IGNORE INTERVIEW - Received an email that the budget process is delayed, and they won't know the number of students they can support until later this week. Did anyone else receive this update? I wonder if it's for the whole department or only Rhet/Comp?
