I reached out to them and was told I was waitlisted. And -- "All the candidates should be hearing soon, as the first round of acceptances is done." If you are planning to decline, please let them know. And for MA offers (if PhD doesn't come through)- does Maryland fund completely?

No email, but just found this in my portal: "Your application has been reviewed, and the committee has denied admission." Guess I can't blame them for being concise, but that would've been a hurtful way to find out if I hadn't already accepted an offer elsewhere.
