University of Southern California Graduate School Admission Results

(Already submitted WL). TPB: I emailed econ_gradadm@usc.edu and got a response that was signed by "USC Dept. of Economics". I believe they don't contact students about the WL themselves and if you are yet to get a decision from them, you should be on the waitlist

Not wl. TPB can you please post who are you speaking with? Program admin or director of graduate studies? Nothing yet from USC.

Contacted 3 POIs, but no one replied...got rejection with expectation, whatever... I have better choices...It's their loss not to give me admission...

One of my safe schools. No surprise to get rejected----Do not find a professor in my research interests. Already accept the offer from a much better school.

Got an email saying that I got waitlisted. Not sure about the rank.

standard rejection letter in the wee hours. surprised, but not disappointed. low undergrad GPA, high masters GPA, no GRE, strong LOR, strong SOP, several technical presentations, over 2 decades experience.

Degrees in CS and math, Gpa 3.97, GRE 169Q/166V/5.0A, research, pubs, national awards. The kicker is that USC is my undergrad institution. Thanks, “Trojan family”, you got my back!?

emailed to check decision, no interview. I have better choice, so this did not makes me upset

I find it astounding how they make us register onto their youSC webpage just to check the decision status. Is it really that hard to just flat out inform us of their decision? And "Please note that you will not receive a hard copy of your decision letter. We recommend you print a copy of the letter from the youSC portal for your records." is misleading. Was a pain in the bum to fill out the application pages in November. USC required the most information from their applicants, from race and ethnicity to how much money you had in your bank account. This was the ONLY grad school that requested a financial statement. Do they not have money to fund their students or something? I actually logged into the application page a few days ago to withdraw my application to USC and noticed that they didn't provide the option to withdraw my application. Their whole application system is inconvenient and needs fixing.
