University of Southern California Graduate School Admission Results

Received a notice in the mail with the letter dated February 13th; but was not notified by email.

Logged into YouSC and saw my decision letter.

I just called USC's office to ask for an update. They said they've already contacted the students that they've accepted, and that the letters to those who are rejected will be sent in a week or two.

TTBP: Thank you for posting your stats! Did you also receive an email saying that “due to your strong academic record, you have been identified as a potentially suitable candidate as a Ph.D. student” and were asked if you would also like to submit a statement of intent/ purpose for the PhD program?

TTPB here are my stats, as requested. CS major from an Ivy League college; 1-2 years work experience; not a lot of research but I do have one paper under review. The email for the scholarship interview noted that awards are generally around $5k to $10k, just fyi.

Received unofficial email from professor to assess my interest and invite me to a prospective event in March

TTPB: Dude screw USC, I'm also above their average admitee in stats and they didn't even send me my acceptance yet despite people with WAY lower gpa/gre/undergrad ranking getting in. I think they just reject the people they think will not accept their offer.

Undergrad from top 10 engineering schools in India. Applied for Scientists and Engineers track, owing to bachelors in electronics. Don't know what went wrong :/

TTPB who was asking about the USC scholarship interviews, I got one too. I was accepted in mid January but I got the interview request in mid February. I have not accepted the university's offer of admission yet.
