University of Southern California Graduate School Admission Results

Has anyone who's been accepted to USC heard ANYTHING from them in the last month? I accepted their offer and declined a couple very competitive ones, but I'm starting to regret the decision.

I still haven't received an admission decision. They emailed me early March saying they didn't have my official transcript (which I definitely submitted), so I sent it again. Haven't heard from them since. Already accepted my offer elsewhere, just wondering why I haven't heard anything at all?

TTPB accepted today: Can you post initials of your POI?

I will decline the offer from USC. Finally, I obtained 2 acceptance letters from 11 applications. The outcome is pretty much that I expected before the process. I will attend to USCB for Fall 2020 to do research on Classical and Quantum black holes.

Interviewed with POI on Monday and got offer today. I guess you never lose hope until its over!

DGS informed after email inquiry on March 26, "At this point your chances do not look very good. We still have twice as many offers out compared to the number of positions we have." And now on April 14, "I am sorry, but we can not make you an offer."

TPPB: I emailed them asking about the possible delay in the decision due to COVID19. They gave a generic answer that they send out decision till May. So based on our luck for fall 2020 if we are admitted we will get the decision by this month. From May I guess it will be rejects and possible Spring admit candidates. (based on last year stats)

Are they still sending out admissions or is it practically all done by now?

TTPB for USC mentioning PI (FS) not responding, similar experience. I actually had an interview with his student around Dec and they asked me a past project and code, I send to them and I did a good interview. Then around march, he emailed me for asking if I am still interested and I replied yes, then no communication after that. That's it. Hope you feel better.

Sad :( POI initially was very positive and told me that we will have an interview after application submission. But no response after that, ignoring emails also. I asked a few times if he is still hiring but no response, setting such a bad example. Initials: SN
