To the USC ECE PhD Fall admit below: Congrats on your admit. They replied with your admission letter when you mailed to check status? I had 2 interviews in early Jan for the fellowship but haven't heard back anything yet. Can you provide a little info about whether you had any interview and your admission had any mention of funding/fellowship? That would be helpful.

TTPB: Congrats! When did you submit the application and what were you stats?

TTPB : To the international applicant, Congratulations on getting accepted. Did you submit your application in December or in January ?

My area of interest is optics, and I interviewed with a couple professors in that area in late December or early January.

TTPB: Can you share your profile/specialization? Also did you contact PoI or had an interview? It's just weird they are sending acceptances on weekends.

Does anyone know that this year because of COVID they send admission late? also for other universities

I'm the one who posted about USC and unless the prof and advisor are playing an elaborate joke, I don't think it is! To the other poster, please don't worry. No one mailed anything about all decisions having been made or sent out, and one may assume they're still rolling out like these do...

Emailed to check portal. And there's me thinking I'll be immune from rejections over the weekend.

Graduated with honors from USC's dual MA in Public Art/MA in Planning program in 2018. 4 years of nonprofit work experience, a background in community organizing, and 2 TA positions. My professional background and research interests align closely with one of Price's new research centers. This rejection hurt ;( But congrats to everyone admitted. Crossing my fingers for everyone who didn't get in, hoping we all get good news soon! GPA is from MA program.
