University Of Toronto Graduate School Admission Results

Finally received an answer! I contacted the professor around September and he was interested. It took 5 months to get an official answer. International student with 3.77 CGPA, one year of undergrad research experience, two months of laboratory internship.

International applicant, unfortunately got rejected. applied for the Master of Science program.

Unofficial acceptance e-mail, stating that official acceptances would be sent out next week.

Have been accepted by Caltech and MIT. Don't understand why UofT rejected me. Maybe Canadian universities are poor and small.

Applied I/S! :) Teachables were math + bio but I have already accepted another offer elsewhere with funding, so I will be declining! Good luck to everyone still waiting, it's ridiculous how long this is taking

MASC in Civil Engineering, informal interview with a POI before submitting my application. Undergraduate research experience without publications, +4 years of work experience.

Expected the rejection letter to come, and for it to come during the April 15th resolution. Had a stronger 3rd and 4th year GPA, but historically not the strongest grades.

Applied to the Mediterranean Archaeology Collaborative Specialization (MACS). Emailed the Director of Graduate Studies, and heard back the next day.

TTPB: I am the person who posted below you, saying I was choosing between an AUD and the U of T PhD offer. I am sorry I finally accept the U of T linguistics PhD offer. Hope you can come off waitlist and get your MA offer! To other people: I can share my status: I am international, but I did my MA in linguistics in Canada. My GPA is quite high with all the undergrad and grad ling courses having A or A+. I have an individual NWLC conference proceeding (to appear) when I was doing my application. No other conference experiences or publications. I was rejected by all the 3 other PhD programs, but got accepted by U of T. I think the reason why I can get this offer is my research interest aligns very closely with 2/3 profs in this department, and one of the referees collaborates with my POI, and wrote a strong letter for me.

Submitted late January, but still have no clue if's I'm in or not, not even a wl. Did anyone get rej yet? International student but have undergrad in Canada

Accepted off of the waitlist and offered 5K funding package. 1 year of unrelated work experience.

TPB: I emailed the program in February. They told me the department would contact me for an interview by mid-March, in case they are interested in my profile. However, like you, I have also not received any communication from them and the status on the website is "under review".
