I already assumed I was rejected/ waitlisted lol NOTHING YET :(

Ok has ANYONE heard back from MIT Micro? If we haven't heard back yet, is it safe to assume that we're rejected/waitlisted?

Just received a formal letter via email from the head of the Department of Architecture informing me that I've been added to the waitlist. I met with a POI in the fall and hadn't heard anything since submitting my application.

Not interviewed just waiting but no other option. To the poster below for SMArchS, which programme are you applying to?

Anyone else put on the waitlist at MIT hear anything yet? Not getting my hopes up but have other offers and am trying to start thinking about making a decision.

The graduate admissions process for the 2020-21 academic year is now complete. I am truly sorry to inform you that we are not offering you admission to the Interdepartmental Program in Transportation at MIT. The number of applicants to the graduate program far exceeds the number that can be accommodated and therefore only a small fraction of applicants can be accepted. A quite vapid 20min interview 2 weeks ago. Generic rejection today. Doesn't feel good. Regardless, the deeper I look into the SES program the more uninteresting it appears to be. Good look for the other candidates.

Low GPA from a top school, three years unrelated research, two years Peace Corps. Proposed a pretty dramatic shift from my undergrad topics to focus on food security, trying again next year. Congrats to everyone who made it!

Seems like their rejection email is the same as last year saying "competition for admission was particularly keen this year." Pretty disappointed to be rejected from MIT 3 times this application cycle :') but hopefully everything will work out for me and anyone else in the same boat!
