Got offical mail today. Had a call with one of the POI on 30th March ( He had told,he will give me the admit). Got official letter and funding letter. Will probably join !!! Also have a funded admit from UCSD( will be rejecting most probably, so all the best to wait listed guys). |

Torn between G.Tech MSCS and UCSD MSCS. Have got good and bad reviews on both. Slightly inclined towards UCSD because of more flexibility to choose courses and better CV research. People I reached out to said in rankings both colleges are identical. Agree to the general norms that both colleges have taken in good profiles as well as profiles below average in the name of diversity. Overall cost of the MS is also nearly identical at both places but UCSD seems to have the nicer weather while TA is completely waived off in GTech. Any responses would be highly appreciated |

Undergrad from a top IIT. Fellowship at Microsoft Research and excellent research experience in intended field of study with strong LORs. Was shocked to have received a reject. Personally felt my profile was a better fit for the specialization than those admitted. Seems like they wanted to keep their yield game strong. No regrets. Congratulations to whoever got in. |
