Computer Science, University of Southern California TTPB: I received my mail around 2:00 am L.A. TIME (PDT), stating that my decision is available on the youSC portal. It seems like they are only sending out rejections, cause I think its unlikely there will be another waitlist waiting for people to accept the non-deferral Fall 2020 option.

Computer Science, University of Southern California To the posters below. When did you receive your emails? What I really need right now is not an admission to the program, but a closure to my application. If I get in, good for me but I really want this stressful waiting period to be over.

Computer Science, University of Southern California Not much to add right. Waitlisting students to fill up Fall 2020 spots (not going to reopen this year anyway) but I guess they're playing those kind of games to keep the cash flow steady. Heads off to the admission committee and the accounting department for plotting this. Nevertheless, congratulations to the ones accepted and I hope everyone else has a plan B :) Best of luck!

Computer Science (Data Science), University of Southern California To all international students who have received admits to USC AFTER being waitlisted, regardless of your program -- CS, EE, whatever -- you CANNOT defer to Fall 21 or Spring 21. The only option you have is to choose between Fall 20 in-person or online. And know this, they did this to fill Fall 20 seats as most Fall 20 admits have deferred to next year. Yes they dealt absolutely shitty, and fucking selfish cards, but that shows who they are. I hope you have learnt your lesson, and not apply here next year. They don't deserve another chance, and certainly not your money. Fuck you USC. All of my respect for this "great college" has turned to ashes.

Computer Science, University of Southern California Finally got the result. I contacted USC about updating(defer) my admission for Fall 2021 and they replied saying that people who were waitlisted don't get to defer and that we need to reapply if we want to be considered for Fall 2021. I am not sure what decision I will make.
