Applied for Masters, got an email indicating they'd like to offer PhD with full tuition and stipend, with terminal Masters possibility! I chose Masters, since I wanted to keep PhD option for a later date.

Computer Science, University of Southern California Submitted my application (Viterbi CS Gen) on 14th December and paid the app fee. Got an email saying it was successfully received. However, got an email today saying "This is a friendly reminder that you have an application in-progress, and that the application deadline is approaching.". Anyone else experiencing this? Note: International applicant who hasn't yet uploaded passport and financial docs. Could this be the reason? Although the portal shows "completed" on my application.

Computer Science (CIS), University of Pennsylvania first rejection and it stings. i emailed the admissions director and they replied that they received a record number of applications and accepted 8% in the early round. good luck to all!

Computer Science, University of Pennsylvania Engineering (non-CS) undergrad. No research experience or software engineering experience, but actively changing industries. Currently an M.S. Computer Science student at UT Austin. Best of luck to everyone!
