Linguistics, University Of California, Davis I emailed the graduate program advisor for an update, and received a response today: "After careful consideration, the Linguistics Graduate Admissions Committee has made the difficult decision not to offer you admission to our program this year. We understand that this news may be disappointing, and we want to assure you that each application is reviewed thoroughly, considering various factors such as academic performance, letters of recommendation, writing samples, research, and professional activities. This year, we received a large number of applications from highly qualified candidates, and unfortunately, we are only able to accept a few. Your application, while strong, was not among those selected for admission. "

Philosophy, University Of California, Davis (IGNORE STATUS) I noticed they came out with rejections already in addition to supposed acceptances in mid Feb. I haven't heard anything from them yet. I'm not quite sure what to make of my position. Is anyone in the same position?
