Mechanical Engineering, Carnegie Mellon University I had two rounds of interview. The first round was in late February. Next, I had another interview 30 mins prior to me receiving the acceptance letter. I am from IIT Bombay, Master's GPA 4.0 ; NIT Silchar Undergrad GPA 3.6. My work is very closely related to my advisor and co-advisor. I also have work experience in Deloitte and Indian Oil Corporation. (1.5 years in total). Not sure what worked exactly. (P.S. Didn't include GRE in my application. TOEFL score 106: 28R,30L, 24S,24W)

Physics And Astronomy, University Of Oklahoma Major mechanical engineering. PGRE 910/990, GRE 317/340, 1 internship in a national lab, no paper, I guess two strong LORs. I got offer letters from OU, FSU, UA, UTK, and NCSU. Finally, I have decided to go the University of Tennessee in Astrophysics. I turned down the rest of the offer letters. All the best for everyone.

Computer Science, Columbia University Dual BS Degrees in Electrical Engineering (honors program) and Mechanical Engineering. Several years of TA experience and extracurriculars. 3 years SWE experience post undergrad. Took a few classes in the Georgia Tech OMSCS program before applying. Rejected from the MSCS program after applying before the priority deadline. Opted to be considered for the Bridge if not admitted for the MSCS. Rejected read as follows: After careful evaluation of your application to the Computer Science Master of Science program for the Fall 2024 term, the Committee on Admissions at The Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science regrets to inform you that your application has not been approved. You will not be considered for any additional degree programs for the Fall 2024 term. I am curious about the "You will not be considered for any additional degree programs for the Fall 2024 term" though. Is it normal to have that in the rejection letter? I wonder if my application was disqualified because some of my rec letters or my video interview were submitted a little late.

Mechanical Engineering, University Of California, Berkeley Got rejection with a generic e-mail. I'm from Koc University. Had two first author(Q1), and two second author article submissions. Presented my recent research at the APS DFD which is the biggest event in my field. Two of my references were strong. Have 2.5 years research experience at the same lab, and three months at MPI for Intelligence Systems. Get reponse from two profs for my mails but no interview.
