Computer Science-Machine Learning, Carnegie Mellon University Had an overall decent profile,multiple projects,several internships(including international),one publication accepted,another ongoing,very relevant workex. But then again it's CMU. Ambitious.

(Computer Science - Machine Learning), Carnagie Mellon University (CMU) I regret to inform you that we are unable to admit you to the Master of Science in Machine Learning program at Carnegie Mellon University. We received over 1500 applications this year, and we could admit only a small fraction of the applicants, even though many more had strong qualifications. Once again, we are sorry you were not included in the accepted students. We wish you the best in your future endeavors.

Machine Learning, Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) Generic reject. 2 consecutive bachelors degrees (Psych @ CMU, CS @ Pitt), 4 years research in cognitive science with a couple of ML-related conference submissions. First reply from any school so far, bit of a downer. Good luck to others...
