Geology, California Institute Of Technology Really good and diverse rec letters, toured campus and met with grad students and professors, diverse research experiences. Guess they didn't think I was as good a fit as I thought :( First rejection of the season.

Geology, Southern Illinois University, Carbondale No GRE. Multiple TA experiences, conference presentations, and research experiences. Had a good chat with PI over Zoom. Received an email from department chair with funding info: TA with tuition waiver and stipend for up to 3 years.

Geology, University Of Illinois Email from PI with acceptance, fellowship, and tuition waiver. Applied directly from undergrad, (small midwestern liberal arts college) 3.69 overall GPA, no Master's, no GRE, 3 sems. teaching experience, 1 pub. in review, (2nd author) 3 unrelated pubs. in prep., ~1.5 years of research experience & various honors. So excited!!!
