Creative Writing Poetry, University Of Colorado, Boulder Received an email directing me to an update on the status portal. They didn't offer any funding (and there's also a $200 confirmation deposit if I were to accept). I'll be declining this one in favor of a fully-funded offer.

Sociology, University Of Chicago I received an email saying a decision was made, directing me to the status portal around 4pm (CET) on January 27th 2023 (Friday). I had no interview request last week, i kind of knew it was most likely a rejection.

Economics, University Of Chicago Just received an email from the department chair with the following message: "I write to you with an update regarding the UChicago Economics waitlist. During the next two weeks we hope to be reaching out to many of you with offers to join our graduate program. If such an offer is made, you will receive a notification from our application system directing you to login to view your updated decision. It is very important that you accept or decline our offer in our application system as soon as you have made a decision, as we are on a tight schedule to fill our incoming cohort spots. All offers must be accepted no later than April 15, 2022 (no exceptions) ..." Everyone on the waitlist got this email?

Creative Writing Fiction, Emerson College I got an email informing me that my application status had changed, directing me to check the portal. I am an older applicant, out of school for some time, so likely my GPA had little to do with my acceptance. I am going to take the spot and am thrilled. Good luck to all of you...

Directing, University Of Texas At Austin Program head said at the beginning of my Feb 5th interview that she was very impressed with my admissions essays, but the subsequent interview felt like a bit of a bomb on my part. Being put on the waitlist feels generous, and definitely reflects an afterglow of the original impression I made via writing. (Interview granted via URTA application)
