I actually have 2 offers for PhD in Statistics but I actually want PhD in Biostatistics so if you know you are not going to attend University of Texas, Houston kindly decline your offer because you might be helping me get in. Biostatistics, University Of Toronto Ontario undergrad with 1 pub. Majored in health science, supplemented my coursework with math and have a lot of experience with statistical programming. Good luck to everyone else waiting to hear back!

Biostatistics, University Of Toronto GPA 3.77 Undergrad in Canada; GPA 3.7 Master degree in Canada; 2 submitted pubs, 3 in progress, 4 conferences... Don't think they would accept international students unless you have a prof who gives you a clear commitment that you will be funded by him.

Biostatistics, University Of Toronto cGPA: Between 3.0-3.33 (converted to 4.33 scale), final year gpa: Between 3.7-4.0 Applied as domestic (Canadian PR) I think they initially checked my application on Mar 20 then decided to waitlist me today.

Biostatistics, University Of Massachusetts, Amherst UMass Amherst charged me an additional application fee (SOPHAS + their grad school), and then admitted me to their Master's without any acknowledgement that I had applied for the PhD. In fact, the portal now says that I submitted an application to this other program. No mention of funding. No contact from anyone in the department. Future students: do not waste your money applying to this school. Grateful to have already accepted another offer.
