University Of Michigan, Ann ArborBiostatistics, Masters (F17)Accepted via E-mail on 19 Jan 2017 I12 Apr 2017
  • To the international student who asked for advice below: Actually I am in the same situation as you, I am also an international student who got accepted into the fast-track MS with no funding. They said if your grades are good in the first year then you will have a chance to get funding for the second year, and all PhD students (starting from third year) will get funded. Since I want to research in statistical genetics, this is the best place to go so I had no choice but to accept it. I know the costs are really tough, especially without tuition waived. But I think nothing much could really be done... If you cannot afford it then you should probably decline it. You can leave a contact in the comments if you are still undecided. All the best!

  • I applied for PhD in Biostatistics but was accepted to their fast-track MS with no funding. Although I am very interested, as international applicant the cost is too much for me. Contacting the faculty did not help. Does anyone have relevant information of what else can be done ? Or should I just decline to free the spot?
