Infectious Diseases And Microbiology (IDM), University Of Pittsburgh I was wait-listed back in March and even though I already accepted an offer at my top choice, I wanted to see how long it would take IDM to make a decision. As of 5/10 I have heard nothing. 2 people posted that they weren't notified until June last year=ridiculous. Someone posted that this program has no funding, I looked at NIH reporter and only Dr. Rinaldo, and Dr. Gupta have active grants (out of 20 total). They have no outside funding from Gates Foundation or PATH. This program is a joke, you might be able to get a faculty position at "lake eerie college" or a post doc at Penn State! Give me a break Arm-Pitt!!

Infectious Diseases And Microbiology, University Of Pittsburgh Graduate School Of Public Health (GSPH) Removed myself from the waiting list last week. I talked to Meredith in March and she confirmed that their were only 2 spots this year. I am pretty sure IDM only accepted students with ties to the program since I was accepted at: Berkeley, UWashington, JHU, Columbia, and UMich. My advice is that if you are on the waiting list and already have an offer, take it!

Infectious Diseases And Microbiology, University Of Pittsburgh GSPH IDM only accepted 2 PhD students, one just graduated from IDM with a MS so only one student is being accepted (this student worked in a lab at IDM last year). The entire department is struggling and is being held up by the Pittsburgh MACS. If you spent precious money on their obscene SOPHAS application fee I suggest you complain since they stole your money!

Infectious Diseases And Microbiology, University Of Pittsburgh I applied to 6 schools and this is the only one I got into! IDM is only accepting 2 students this year. I WILL BE ACCEPTING!! Visit day is March 23rd!
