Bioinformatics & Systems Biology (BISB), UCSD (University Of California, San Diego) So. I actually never received an e-mail. I happen to log into my account to check my status and after 4 months of hearing nothing. I saw that I was denied and that there was a generic rejection letter attached. I would have much rather known 2 months ago when interview invitations went out. Congrats to all who got accepted.

The admission committee has finished the initial review of the applications and selected a group of students to interview. Your application has been placed in the waitlist. We will contact you soon with the final decision."

Bioinformatics & Systems Biology (BISB), UCSD (University Of California, San Diego) Interviewed on Feb 3rd, emailed department last week asking for an update, haven't heard back. Was anyone interviewed on both the 3rd and the 24th, or were these separate groups?

BISB, UCSD for March 8 poster, I got the interview on Feb 3rd but the interview was kind of messy and of the three professors that interviewed me I only got one of the professor mentioned in my personal statement. Also the other professors that interviewed me had a different focus of bioinformatics that I didn't have much interest in.
