Emailed to notify of waitlist status. Informed that cohort will be extremely small, perhaps only one person.

My dream program. Got a call today morning. Super excited!

Got an acceptance call at around 8:45 AM IST. Had received an interview invite on 3rd Feb. Expecting the official letter by tomorrow. Super super excited!

Got a phone call about acceptance this morning!! They said I'll get an email tomorrow!

BA = 3.8, MPP = 3.7, MPH = 3.9. Strong LoRs and SoP, highly applied research experience, possibly somewhat weak writing sample. Research interests a bit niche. European applicant.

My PI indicated late last year that he would recommend me for admission to the committee. I received an admissions offer from the department today, with an offer from the graduate division forthcoming.

"It is with regret that we write to inform you that you have not been accepted for graduate study at the University of California, Berkeley. The materials you submitted with your application have been carefully reviewed by the admissions committee, but we are unable to offer you admission. The UC Berkeley campus has a strict enrollment ceiling, and we are thus very limited in the number of new students we may admit each year. The admissions committee has the difficult task of selecting students with the strongest overall records from a large pool of well-qualified applicants. Unfortunately, this may result in not being able to accept many applicants who are capable of excellent academic work." Like everyone else, I knew this was coming.
