Graduate School Admission Results

Rejected from MSc in Economics (two-year program). Middle Eastern. Holds B.Sc. double major in Economics and Mathematics from a top-10 US school. Good SOP, but okay LORs. I think they emphasize LORs a lot. Generic rejection letter mentioned: "Departments are looking for excellent references, a focused personal statement and in some cases relevant work experience and good test results"

To the VGSE post below: Can you share what the questions in the interview were?

To LSE offer holders, I received the email informing my acceptance to the phd in economics program on Mar.1st but there was no update on LSE for you portal. No formal letter, no response form, still “under review” ... is that common? Sent email to ask but no reply.

Sad.I was hoping to make it even just in the waitlist

TPB: congratulations! However, as a current LSE student I feel that I have to tell you something. Be careful to come to do the EME program without a good technical background. If you haven't done real analysis nor linear algebra, you are going to have a really tough time in this course. I seriously recommend you to contact current students to get their current exams in adv. Micro or econometrics and see what I am talking about. Consider taking hard maths during Summer, and if during the introductory courses you feel you can't cope with it, you can always change to MSc Economics or ask to postpone your exams to the next year to get some math background. Good luck!

Not supported for Eiffel scholarship selection................

Had until 13th May to reply. I have already accepted a funded offer from a Canadian University, so did not follow up on their offer.

Rejected for first round, probably won't get in in the main round either. Glad to hear back relatively early compared to other programs though

Is there anyone accepted?

Few days ago. I called and they told me that I was not concern so far I applied before, but well, this is not encouraging at all! I'll let you know ah ah.

I got into Warwick, so will reject

I completed my app. in two years program late Nov last year. And my status on LFY is still "Your app is under consideration." Is there any one who is under same situation? Supposing that they processed the app in the order of receipt, is there a higher probability that I got accept? Getting Hard to wait more than 3 months. Good wishes to ya all.
