Political Science, Cornell University TTPB: I spoke to a POI at Cornell last week and he told me that I would hear back this week. However, seeing as it's already Friday, it's possible that's changed. I would tentatively expect to hear today, if not early next week. Best of luck!

Information Science, Cornell University Received an informal email from POI that said I had been accepted! (Top choice 1a/2r/3p). BS in CS, 3 years non-profit research experience, meh GRE, lots of grants, practitioner and evaluation experience. Best of luck y'all!

(Computer Science, Cornell University From Asian universities, three papers in ML (one in journal), internship at NUS with a paper there, got a bunches of exchanges to foreign universities during my undergrad; two strong recommendation letters (from professor outside my country)

Computer Science, Cornell University My undergrad was not in Computer Science, it was in Biology. However, I had a significant focus on bioinformatics (coursework, 2 summer internships, and a senior thesis) and I'd gotten a minor in CS / taken most of the basic core CS courses (Data Structures, Algorithms, etc.) as part of it. I had to do a one-way video interview which I felt like I botched but made it through and a brief technical assessment (randomized questions on a variety of topics; not too difficult if you've had any exposure to CS) because I didn't major in CS.
