Cinema Studies, New York University They took way too long to send out rejections, which I think is extremely unfair for students who have already received offers. I really wanted to go here but ended up accepting another offer several weeks ago before even hearing from them. Overall I'm happy with my choice and wish all of the NYU admits the best of luck, but I don't understand why they don't make all of their decisions at once. Isn't that the point of the wait list?

Sociocultural Anthropology, New York University I e-mailed the head of grad admissions directly since I had interacted with him during the application season and he told me that my application had been rejected. Was very kind about it and mentioned that GS would be sending out the decisions soon. (P.S: If you haven't heard from them yet, don't panic about it being a rejection. I don't think that's necessarily the case)

EECS, Berkeley College-New York Berkeley is one of those stupid schools whose admission process is unpredictable, I got in at Stan and MIT, but would have chosen Berkeley as I could stay with my brother. High GPA, great LORs (one from Stan) from top researchers, 2 first author pubs at top ACM and IEEE conferences, what more should I do? Come and jerk the committee off? Pardon the language, can't take this decision graciously, was really hoping for it...

Critical Social/Personality Psychology, New York City College of Technology, CUNY Did not receive an email. Happened to check website and at the bottom there was an update regarding my decision. Letter was dated 2/11.
